the fond-du-luth gaming casino downtown doesn't appeal to me, but it might be entertaining for you. some nights it's open 24 hours.

the lakewalk is well-lit and a beautiful place to walk and admire the views, or people-watch. it is also quite safe. the public beach on park point closes at 10 pm, however.

if you're lucky, there will be a baseball game at wade stadium. the huskies put on a fairly good show, and the price is dirt-cheap.

personally, i like to go to lester park on the far eastern edge of town. the forests, creeks and waterfalls are enchanting, especially in the moonlight.

and of course no shortage of night-life, if you're 21. most bars are open until at least 1 am, some later. try fitger's brewhouse or mister d's if you like live music.

and of course there are always the movies... but you can do that anywhere.

I would imagine on a cold winter's night in Duluth, the funnest
thing one can do is sit in a nice warm bar and get drunk.
