Notice how in the early morning in England how much fun it is. Then about midday as they wake up on the East Coast it is downhill all day. Until about 8.45 pm BST you may as well go watch telly.

Oh! Hello Canada! You are very welcome to join this debate! And Mexico too

No humor at all ... we are very boring ... it's all about how boring we can be. A competition really. Sometimes, we just go to Starbucks and stare each other in the eye without blinking to prove that we are the most boring nation that exists.

Look at our news anchors. They are boring. If you watch them long enough, you will fall into a permanent coma which will allow you to walk, talk, and type (so productivity doesn't decrease) --- but in the end you're just a walking zombie. The top of the line new news casters we have to bore you with are "John Stewart" who does the "Daily News", and his really ultra boring spin off, "The Colbert Report" --- even our reality TV sucks, "Reno 911" just reports the dry crime that occurs in Reno Nevada (BORING). Beware, when you are visiting the USA, only watch the news at your own peril (for fear that you too may become a walking zombie).

With our immigration problem from Mexico, well, we're working on developing extra boring news casters for the Mexican news. This is why so many of the Mexicans left behind don't understand when they family calls and rights to them. However, there still is a language barrier and we're diligently working on creating a the top of the line boredom Mexican News cast in the world ... we call this news show, "The Mind of Mencia" ... it is translated in many different languages now ... if you should come across this, BEWARE, the Boredom will ZOMBIFY you ... DO NOT WATCH IT!!!

Still, I have found the safest way to laugh and find humor is in the bugs ... they have no alterier motives to make me laugh, so I spend hours laughing at this gift from Mother Nature herself.

An American in south Ockendon? You MUST have a sense of humour! I am an Australian in Grays - I am a sadomasochist!!

I think Americans do appreciate funny, just a different type of funny to Brits and Aussies. We are very dry and sarcastic with our humour. Yanks get that, they just don't do it very well (except for Johnny Depp, who lives in France).

HOWEVER, some of the best comedy shows ever are American. Seinfeld, Frasier, Family Guy, etc. And have you watched some of George W. Bush's addresses to the nation? Talk about laugh out loud!! :)

Irish in South Ockendon? you're not a teacher, by any chance?

Well the basic problem is they just don't understand irony. They think It's something that happens at the dry cleaners. The trouble is all their great comedians have been British. Charlie Chaplin, the late great Stan Laurel, Bob Hope. Mind you, in recent years, there has been some funny home grown talent. Ronald Reagan, George W (I'm not sure what the W stands for) Bush, to name just two.

I dont think u have much of a "deep" one if u knoiw what i mean - more childish if u ask me. But then i think thats cos ur all a bit dumb really -cant spell for **** so change the lingo to make it easier for ur dumb arses, lol.
Ur right tho - canadians have a far better sense of humour. In fact a dead ferret has a better sense of humour, lol.
Then again i take it back anyone who can elect ronald reagan, arnold schwarzenneger (fuk that spelling) and finally a chimpanzee into the f-ing whitehouse ffs, MUST have a sense of humour.

They have a sense of humour but not about anything to do with America or any of the countries they are currently "saving"
I think they have a different type of humour I mean they went absolutely crazy over Friends, god knows why it wasn't that funny.
What they do very well and long may it continue is cop/crime dramas like Law & Order, C.S.I & Cold Case.

Alot of Americans do not get irony. They take everything much too literally. British comedy is awesome. The Office, Only fools and Horses, I'm Alan Partridge, Red Dwarf. The Americans could never pull those off.

But US comedy is good too but still very different and I reckon its British people that write/influence it. Seinfeld, Frasier, Friends, Southpark are all good.

It's because we Americans have straight teeth and wear deodorant.
I hear ya man. But can you look 500 miles to the east and find anyone. Do Germans or Norwegians understand inbred british humar. I doubt it....
West Coast is the best coast to wait for Cali to come on line. New Yorkers are lame..

I like saturday night live and family guy I'm pretty sure thats humor but it's a bit crude.
The daily show and The colbert report are also funny wth their satire.
Irony? Sarcasm? NOooOOOoo. But irony and sarcasm dosen't go over well on the internet since you can't hear the tone of voice.

Maybe it is because British people are all happy when they wake up until they start thinking about how bad it sucks to live anywhere beside the USA, and so their day just starts going down hill from then. lol. No wait, I'm serious, England sucks.
