i am homeschooled and all the parents in the homeschool group agree that courtship is better than dating and we are not alowed to date until we are 18 or older. guys just come over and hang with you and your family if you want be together. i don't agree with this, i want to date, but what is your opion?

Courtship is what you do with someone who you are looking to marry. Dating is only a short term fling...so if you realy just want to fling around with guys then wait till you are 18 but if you like someone a lot and they like you a lot then courtship is more appropriate for minners.But you are your own person so you let your heart decide what is right for you.

I feel, if you did the courtship thing it would not last long.
you will both stray and do the natural things young people do.
Sex.
if you are let to date then the temptation isn't as great because you will be allowed to go out and have fun. be with your friends .

Dating is going out and having fun with someone you really like, without any expectations, but courtship, whilst similar is actually being with the person you know you are going to marry. She expects and is waiting for your proposal. It is like being engaged without the formal announcement.
