Yes. If you got pregnant with identical twin boys and one was damaged in some way that the hormones that would normally make a baby into a boy aren't effective, then the damaged baby could end up as a girl.
Or...if you got pregnant with identical twin boys and one of them had a cell division that went wrong, creating most of the cells of the body with no "Y" chromosome, that baby could be born as a girl.
In theory, if you were exposed to high levels of testosterone while pregnant with twin girls, it could be that only *one* was affected and developed as a boy, but that would require *two* extremely rare coincidences (the testosterone exposure and the different results).
Any of the above would be *extremely* rare...and the baby would still be genetically a boy (or, in the last case, a girl). But the external organs would make them a boy and a girl to all intents and purposes.

Identical twins have the same sac while in the womb, therefore their genetic makeup is exactly the same. A boy & a girl twin cannot be identical.
They can, however look identical. And as they are the same age, it would appear to be moreso. They have the same parents, and therefore would have close to the same genetic makeup. If you have ever seen families that have a few children from the same 2 parents - you normally would notice that the children look similar.
My brother & I are a year apart. Everyone always asked us if we were twins. One of my sons is the spitting image of him too. It's just that we have a strong genetic makeup, strong straits that we carry on - that's all.

there can not be any identical boy/girl twins. think about it . . . if they are identical, everything about them is the same, their hair color, their facial features, their DNA, the same cells that make up the same reproductive organs. so you can only have identical girls or identical boys, but not both. also there is the chromosome thing. if one sperm splits one egg (result is identical twins) how could one half of the egg have the XX chromosome and the other have the XY chromosome? see, it just isn't possible. :) and its not a dumb question, i am sure there are others that have wondered!!

Basically NO....only in an extremely rare and unusually circumstance is it a possibility...has to do with ambiguous gender but it isnt something that the general public would know about..they just dont realize how twins develope..my girls are extremely identical, right down to identical dimples..only family members can tell them apart..yet people will stop me in a store and ask me if they are twins and then when I say yes they will ask me if they are identical...

there is NO way that could happen. Identical twins come from 1 egg that splits, so there can only be 1 sex.

no because the sperm determines the sex of the baby so if it is from one egg that means one sex... if 2 sperm fertilize 2 eggs then they determine separately the sexes of the 2 babies
