Is there a way to upload pics and video to my phone without using so much memory?

compression (jpeg format for stills and mpeg for video) or add more memory capacity to your cell phone or better yet, get an external memory hooked to small laptop . put everthing in a backpack and don't forget a cable to the cell phone.
