All time....isn't a very hard question...Jerry Rice

But as of right now, it's really hard to say. Steve Smith was dominating last season, thats for sure, but unless he makes a mark again this year, he may not be the BEST, but still a very dangerous reciever.

But to list a few contenders currently:
Steve Smith (Domination at it's finest...if he can keep playing at the same calibur that is)
Chad Johnson (He talks and talks, but he makes a statement every time he plays)
Marvin Harrison (People overlook this guy because he doesn't talk about how good he is...he just shows you)
Randy Moss (If he can get back to his old ways, I can see him finishing a career with 18,000+ yards)
Torry Holt (His numbers speak for themselves)
Joe Horn (Another guy that's not so popular, but he's definately worth noting)
Terrel Owens (He's an ***, but you can't argue with skills)
Rod Smith (Another overlooked WR, nearly 11,000 career yards says something for his skills)
Javon Walker (Silent and underrated, but he can definately burn top CBs)
Larry Fitzgerald (Watch out for him in the next few seasons, he's going to the top)
Anquan Boldin (He's consistently very good, but slightly underrated due to being a Cardinal)
Santana Moss (He's shown his skills, he's just got to keep it up)

GO PANTHERS!!!!

All time is Rice.
Right Now is Randy Moss.

When Randy Moss retires he will be the #1 all time.
---------------
Edit for the guys who picked Marvin Harrison.

He's a class 1, grade A, nice guy and professional.
Not a clown like Moss, TO, Javon Walker, Chad J, etc.
And he's a super producer.
But he's not the best now. Moss is.
Harrison is nowhere in big games and his numbers are great until week 13 every year (almost every year)...then he folds like a tent.
Lastly he has superman throwing him the ball.
Manning makes Harrison great.

Moss on the other hand...he had freaking Jeff George, Randall Cunningham, and Daunte Culpepper....and Moss made them look great. I would've added Scary Collins from last year but Moss was hobbled. We'll add Aaron Brooks to the list after this year. Moss is that damn good. Now think...what if he had Young and Montana throwing him the ball like Rice did.

You are asking two different questions. Do you want to know the "ALL-TIME" greatest receiver, or the best receiver playing today? The best one playing today may not (in fact, is not) the all time greatest.

To answer the first question, I think the all time best is Jerry Rice. Without a doubt.

I would have to say either Steve Smith or Marvin Harrison based on stats and success. Randy Moss or Terrell Owens probably have the most ability but also have alot of baggage and on the field problems constantly.

large call with Greg Jennings..i am going to furnish you with a teammate of his..i'm gonna say Donald motive force is even better underrated than Jennings. motive force has continually been the guy on a crew it truly is under no circumstances quite had a real determination a million receiver. And has always put up particularly good numbers.

Jerry Rice really is the best all time. Playing I think Ward is right up there but most people outside Pittsburgh never really hear of him. They don't fully appreciate how he may not get the touches but he throws the blocks.
