WCIU, channel 26, “The U!” is proud to be Chicago’s home for Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. Tyler Perry's House Of Payne premieres Monday June 19th at 6:00pm and 11:30pm on WCIU-TV for a limited two week run (with repeats Saturdays on June 24th and July 1st starting at 12pm.) Originally planned as a "test" for a possible new program, telecasts in New York and Houston have been so successful that the program has been given a "go" for Fall 2007 as a daily strip! WCIU-TV will now be the home of this limited run AND the series itself when it premieres in September 2007.

Payne”, a firefighter who is forced to move back into his parent’s house with his two children after his own house is burned down. “C.J.” finds it difficult to raise his two children with constant interference from his old fashioned parents. Watch as this multi-generational family deals with conflicts ranging from parenting and dating, to divorce and drugs with the Tyler Perry trademark brand of heart and humor.
