what do you think??

It's hard to decide which animal to choose. They each have their ups and downs. Cats aren't that messy and they are quiet, but they don't play with you and they can scratch you all up. Dogs are more messy and loud, but they play with you and protect you if you are in danger. I prefer dogs, but cats are ok too.

(The war will go on forever.)

It depends on what the owner or owners want from their pet. If an owner wants a loyal pet that is always around, maybe is playful and needs alot of attention, then a dog is the answer. There are a variety of dogs though, some that are lazy and some that need alot of attention.
But if the owner wants an animal that doesn't need alot of attention and just needs fed and let out, then a cat is definitely the answer. It is true tat some cats are very loyal and sit on the owners knee alot but I think tat that takes alot of training. Cats only come back for food.
My family have a Siberian Husky. He is very playful and needs alot of attention but at the same time he is very loyal and as a GREAT personality (he sighs when he doesn't get his way). My mum and dad had a cat before they had children and it wasn't very anti social and when my sister was born it wasn't child friendly. It's all circumstancial. The best way to find out what animal would suit you best is ask a vet or go onto the RSPCA website where it has guides.

Cats are much lower maintenance. Dogs need a lot of attention and training. Cats can be left alone for long periods. Dogs need to be taken care of. That being said, a good dog is a friend for life; none better.

Cats, I like the fact they are so cuddly, affectionate yet independent, clean and don't bark. My cats always want to sleep on my bed with me and look really cute. They are a lot easier to look after then dogs. But I like small dogs too. I just find cats better as a pet since they are not so demanding to look after. Also dogs sometimes get anoying and obnoxious.

Depends because if your out all day then you should get a cat and dogs are a lot of responsibility. Also dogs are more expensive with vets bills. If you dont want a dog get a cat but dont get both!!!

We've had both and although dogs have a special place in our lives our cat Ginny was fantastic ,when we lost our dog gemma Ginny became so loving and affectionate as if she was trying to ease the loss , I know it sounds soft but i can honestly say there are times when i prefer our pets to some people.

Dogs are best, I do like cats but if it was 1 or the other it would be a dog every time.
Why: Because I love dogs more than cats.

People who love animals go for dogs.

People who like the idea of having an animal go for cats.

Dogs are a lot more work, but well worth the effort

I can't answer that.. I wouldn't be able to live without either. I LOVE cats for their own reasons, and I LOVE dogs for their own reasons. For me... I'm not happy unless I have a little bit of the canine AND the feline world :)

i like the both for different reasons. The dog for the undying loyalty and love it gives you, and the cat for being a lazy independant git. What else could you ask for!

Dogs are better because cats act like they can do what ever they want and dos are more loyal (if you train them) plus they are so cute.
