btw, the term "guerrilla" was first used (by Wellington) in 1809--long after the Revolutionary War.

I think it was "Hornet's Nest." It was a book by Jimmy Carter (yes, *that* Jimmy Carter) that I got from the library, so I don't have it now to refer to. The title came from this place that was set up where the Georgia Militia could see people coming or going, but they themselves couldn't be seen. If the person wasn't someone recognized as a member, the trespasser was pretty much toast. Hope that helps.
