I'm a notary. I have been for about 15 years. If you give me a minute I can calculate what I've made to date.......oh, right - nothing!
In MA you can only charge about $1.25 for a Notarized document. Of course, a lawyer will charge you $10 - $15 to notarize anything!!!!
But, I will say this - being a notary has made the difference in competing for (and getting) jobs in an area where a Notary's services can be useful!

funny....any notary I have ever used has charged nothing for it...and they are usually working somewhere at another job not depending on that as a source of income
