The space shuttle doesn't land in Florida, it takes off from Florida. It usually lands either at Kennedy Space Center or Edwards Air Force Base.

You cannot usually see the shuttle whith your naked eye when it is landing. You can sometimes make out a spec of white in the air, but its not as exciting as the actual launch. I usually enjoy watching it on tv instead, they zoom right in. Any of the local news stations will have it- ABC-9, CBS-6, FOX35, etc. But if you are determined to try- go to Titusville on the Indian River and it will give you the best view. Its easy to get to- US50 to US1.

The actual Visitor's complex is usually closed on days of the launch and landing for security so trying that would be a waste of time.

As far as where it lands, it depends on the weather. They prefer to land in Florida because otherwise they will have to fly it back here to get worked on. There are also landing strips across the world incase the ones in Florida and California are experiencing bad weather. Once the shuttle begins its descent it cannot be stopped.

Is the space ship landing at the Kennedy space center? If so then go to Coco Beach. Its about an hour away from Orlando and not very far from the Kennedy Space center. You should be able to see it.

First you need to know if the shuttle will be landing in Florida. The best source if info is the NASA site shown below.

you can go to Kennedy space center and try to see it.

odds are you wont see much.

get a map of the area and try to align yourself with the runway center line , hope for northerly winds so it comes in from the south

my estimate would be somewhere in cocoa fla or cocoa beach

either way your view will be brief
