If you guys would be realistic and read what you're saying - most teenage girls/guys don't want to spend their summer vacation reading a book! haha but you could go to Ebaum's World, or YouTube..those are both fun sites.

Call the United Way in your city and volunteer to help. You will be surprised to see the variety of choices. There are age appropriate opportunities which varies. You can help animals become a better candidate for adoption by playing with them at the local animal shelter. There is a minimum age requirement usually between 14-16 years old. You can help with therapeutic horse riding for developmentally disabled kids and adults. You can teach a basic computer class to adults. You could help with the sets and various aspects of production for a local performing arts group. The volunteer opportunities vary from city to city on what's available. You will need to commit to a minimum amount of time and you can volunteer how many hours you are comfortable with. Be sure to call and check it out, YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE and you won't be bored anymore! There are actually year round opportunities and it looks great on your college transcript or a job resume!

I would say start an on-line journal, I think if you do this it will give you a starting point for your day. If you document your activities it will show you were you can improve on your activities. I also think you should find out what your interested in and volunteer. If you like older people, volunteer at a hospital of nursing home.If you love animals volunteer at a shelter for animals. If you enjoy writing , go to the local paper and ask to volunteer. I think there are a wide variety of places to show your support, volunteering is a great way to give back.

Grab a camera, get a couple rolls of film and then go outside and take pictures around your neighborhood. Don't worry if they'll be good or not, just snap away. You might get some cool stuff.
