NO WAY! I always thought it was impossible not to like Harry Potter. I'm an obsessed fan that can't wait a year for the next book. I really don't see how anyone could be bored by Harry Potter. Ok, I'd have to agree that Dumbledore is like a psycho child beater in the 4th movie. I didn't like that AT ALL! And we do need more of the Weasley twins and comedy in the movies, but the books are amazing!!!!

NO WAY! I could never get bored with the books. When a new one comes out I finish it in a matter of days. These are books I can't put down. Literally. She writes incredibly well and leaves the reader pulled into the story until it is over. I will be very disappointed when the series is over though. The movies on the other hand are good but can't compare to the books. They leave too much out and add in other things. Well, I guess u can can c I'm a HP fan. Bye!

Things I Can't Stand About the HP Movies:
First of all... they concentrate waaay too much on the angst, and never enough on the battle scenes -- plus, they cut out all the hilarious banter Rowling included in the books. We never hear enough of the Weasly twins, and nothing really makes you laugh, not nearly like the book does.
Secondly -- HOLY MOTHER OF CHRIST -- what the hell did they do to Dumbledore? He's like a psycho child-beater! Did you see him throw Harry against the wall in the last movie? What IS THAT?
And lastly -- all the 'hunks' they choose for the starring 'hunk' roles tend to be real old or fugly. Lockhart was supposed to be good-looking you nimrods, which Kenneth Branagh is NOT.
Thank-you... *pant pant* -- anyone else want the soapbox? Mm?

Well what you have to understand, When a book is turned into a movie a lot of nonspecifics have to be left out for the movie to go by smoothly. but what they fail to understand is that alot of the things that they are taking out in the first movies are needed information to understand the others. When you read a book you have a set idea of what the characters look like and act like. when it is turned into a movie it is another persons view on the book comming to life. so i dont think it sucks i just think that it is interesting to see this directors pov on the book. even though i hate it so.

you do know that it was a book first. you do know what a book is right? a bunch of paper with letters. and then the letters make words and the words make a story.
the books are far much better than the movies. give them a try. theres so much back story and action than the movies could ever cover

I do like the books better than the movies, and the movies not sticking to canon irritate me. However, I do look forward to the movies and do like them for the most part.

Have you read any of the books? You wouldn't be saying it's overrated if you did.
Forget the movies - those ARE overrated, hyped-up Hollywood showcases. Just read ONE of the books. You'll totally be addicted.
