I dont have the link right now but go to www.harrypotterfanfiction.com and look up an author called firefawn. She brings in a completely new character and a new species. I've read a lot of the stroy before she started it again and made it even better. Still less than 20 chapters but they are LONG chapters and definately worth the read.

I agree, it's very hard to find good fanfics.
My favorite is "Masks and Shadows" which is a Naruto crossover.
Summary: On the surface, it's a routine bodyguard mission at an entirely unusual School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But underneath the underneath, demons are lurking...

I don't know any Potter fan fiction - but if you're looking for a good read try King Fortis the Brave - if you like Harry Potter you'll like King Fortis!
