Sense you are wanting countryside I would have to say Kentucky. With its rolling hills and mountains and tons of horses (everywhere you look there's horses) and its culture. Its a fabulous place to be. Also, its the home of the ever popular KFC, the moon bow (which is a rainbow that takes place at night over Cumberland falls and happens I think once a month), the Kentucky derby, the natural bridge....and many more things. And it is very Brit friendly cause the people are very welcoming and hospitable to anyone who is the same to them. I hope I was of help!

Hmm...this is tough since the U.S. landscape is so varied from region to region. I think one of the best kept secrets is New Mexico. It is some of the most breathtakingly beautiful terrain I've ever seen (I have lived primarily in the Midwest and the East Coast), and it has lots of clear and fresh air too.
I think you'll find that most populous cities are Brit friendly. There is not a great deal of hostility towards the British as a national group, in my experience. Most folks will find you charming and sophisticated if you speak with a British accent.

Hawaii i would say is the most attractive state with it's beautiful beaches and it's rich culture and i'm sure there's great things to do at night.
Umm, i'm sure many Americans are over being pissed off at Britain but that's what i think because i don't hear many people talking bad about you guys. But i would say all states are british friendly so don't feel intimidated to go anywhere here.

Alaska is the most beautiful state with its mountains and seacoast. But Texas is also very beautiful because parts are woodsy, flat, hilly, or like the desert. You can get most of America in one state.
You won't find friendlier people than Texas or Florida, depending on your age. The folks in Washington D.C. don't seem to take too kindly to the Brits.

I think California is, because it has everything. It has mountains (skiing), golden hills, deserts, and beaches. Plus its like a melting pot of hundreds of different cultures. I'd say it is the most british friendly. I'm not sure what state would hate britain the most.

New Hampshire. The people are great, and the views are outstanding. Even the government is cool.
