I assumed when i went to find out what was wrong i would get test after test until the problem was found but i had only one test done, twice actually(HSG) but one was on NHS and the other was private. Apart from blood tests, thats all i had. Do a search on the internet for fertilty boards etc once you know what test your doctor wants to do. Here is a note of one i used the most.

hi there,
yes ive gone through this it's not nice and takes quite a long time,
(usually because of the wating times in between apointments) which i found the most frustrating !
but it's worth it in the long run as when you know whats wrong and you start your treatment it acctaully feels like your doing something.
first thing you have to do is see a nurse, they will take your hight and then weigh you, they have you fill out a form that says stuff like are your periods regular, have often do you make love, ect the nurse will then say you need to see a gyno. (she might request a few blood samples as well )
then you see him he'll prob ask the same sort of questions and
give you some blood tests to do, (which you can usaully do while your at the hosptital) then you have to make another appt to came back and see him.
next he will prob ask you to have a lap and dye test (this is to see if your tubes are clear), then you might have to have a scan of your tummy to cheak if you have any cists on your ovaries, then maybe a few more blood tests.
then eventully after all the tests are done you go back to see your gyno and he starts you on some treatment maybe clomid, or whatever which is the best bit as it feels like something is happening at last.
and remember there are things that can be done
take care xx
p.s there this website that really helps as well i go on there myself
the women on there are really freindly and supportive and goinf through the same things http://www.fertilityfriends.co.uk/

Hi, if hubby has had the all clear, its just a question of if you are producing eggs to be fertilized, of course it is not as simple as that, it is trying to coceive at the optimum time, there is always hope ans if you are not producing eggs monthly there is always the hope of IVF treatment, however this can be expensive.

you are in for hard times and good times. The good will outweight the bad. Having a baby is the most wonderful thing in this world. Make sure you go out and buy a couple books on parenting and child birth. I have some I can send you.
