I only have 2 groups that I donate to. I had to make some choices since I was getting so many letters and calls. I donate $$ to the Veterans and to feeding AMERICAN children. I would also be willing to work for a week for either of these groups.

Christmas in July Program. This program helps mostly elderly with little income who "own" homes in run down neighborhoods. The volunteers fix any and everything such as rotted porches, leaky roofs, broken plumbing, electrical, plant bushes, etc... Its a great program and I wish we had it here where I am currently living.
