diet and walking ten miles a day will get you fit, low impact.
you can try any activity if you do not eat very much till 6pm. If the activity you choose is physical then you will be fit and loose weight, but do not pig out after 6 just a normal meal.
only do something you will enjoy otherwise you will give up after a short while .

Well running is the best activity/sport to get you in shape and going for other sports. If you are really good at running, you could compete, but if you just like running for fun, it's great to get you fit. Try running a mile or so every day, and make sure you eat vegatables and lean meats and fish.

Actually, wrestling will only get you in shape if you know a few moves and have a partner with the same skill level. Gymnastics are the same way. They help tone your body in a relatively short amount of time and can be very enjoyable. However, be careful if you try either of these activities. Not knowing what you're doing and trying to go to fast could cause serious injury.

Running is an excellent way to get fit. you can run basicaly anywhere and it is also quite cheap! a pair of trainers,a light t-shirt and some shorts and your sorted- bobs your uncle! Before you go out and do a rigorous 10 miler,do light and simple jogging for about 1/2 and hour but gradually step it up each day. Good luck with getting fit!

road running without a doubt, very cheap and can be done anywhere anytime. great for cardio and even better for weight control. start off with just a mile run a bit then walk a bit. after a couple of times lessen the walking times till you eventually run the whole mile, you will feel great. then you can start running the same mile faster, and going further just make sure you get proper running shoes to avoid injury, good luck!

wrestling...the real kind. or, do tae kwon do, it really gets you into shape.
either way, both activities work every muscle in your body at the same time. i would recommend dance if you think you could handle the fact that for some reason men are condemned in america for being dancers. but have you ever seen those male ballet dancers? what guy wouldnt want a body like that?!?! and what girl wouldnt want her guy to have a body like that?
