Not sure on the plastic but I know aluminum was going for like 34 cents a pound which equalls out to be approximately 2 cents per can, but that was like 2 or 3yrs ago so it may be more now

Glass bottles are worth 5 to 10 cents, thats what everyone above me was talking about. Aluminum cans, when taken to a recycling center, vary it value. Depending on what people are willing to pay for aluminum, it can vary from day to day, week to week.

for some charities, soda companies give 10 cents for each soda can collected. most are less though, like 5 or 2 cents each.

for bottles here in washington it is 10 cents per poumd if I recall and 5 cents per can.

It's a pretty common misconception, most places won't give you money for recycling stuff because then they lose money.
