Famous is an adjective in the dictionary, describing some one, some thing, or some place. The definition reads:
ADJECTIVE: Well or widely known.
Since you said, "Who is the most famous man in the world?" Then you are asking who is the most well or widely known man (human) in the world.
My answer would have to be President George Bush. He has probably the most widely known name in the world today, since he is the President of the most powerful country in the world.
However, the most widely known name to man... would be Jesus Christ.

Right now, probably George Bush, but not for the best reasons.
In general I would think Bill Gates was pretty famous too, and probably Ronald McDonald, Walt Disney etc.
I don't understand your point kimberbee. I mean, aren't alot of the questions here on Yahoo answers based on individual interpretation?

I would say when Jesus Christ lived as a man, but if you are saying now, famous people don't all necessarily go to heaven, its who you are inside and where your heart is, God looks from inside us, not outside. God knows who we truly are.
