The shimmer/glow effect is the result of using a highlighter along the top of the cheekbones. You can use cream (try Revlon Skinlights), pencil (try Rimmel All Over pencil in Faith) or powder (Revlon Skinlights or Clinique Shimmer Sweets) to get this effect.

I know they use a VERY high end makeup, that's for sure. I can guarantee they use brands like Chanel and Christian Dior. My personal favorite is to use Bourjois pearlescent blushes. They work WONDERS to get you that glow you're looking to achieve. I've been told by beauty consultants at the mall that that blush (which I personally use) resembles that of Sandra Bullock's cheeks. I'm not sure if you've seen any recent pictures of Sandra Bullock, but she has a very "glossy/pearlescent" look to her cheeks. Very nice. I highly recommend this! Oh, and put it on the apples of your cheeks only - otherwise it'll look messy. Hope this helps! (BTW: It may be a little more expensive, the Bourjois blush costs about $10-$16 depending on where you get it, but it's TOTALLY worth it. I promise!) Also, Sephora is the best place on earth for beauty!

You can buy some stuff called All-over Face Glow from American Beauty cosmetics at Kohl's. You can either mix it with your foundation for an all-over glow, or use it to highlight particular areas of your face (cheekbones, eyes, etc.)

Bronzer-
It works as a blush, but it's bronze and could be mistaken for pressed foundation powder. It makes you glow!

Benefit makes a couple of creme highlighters that you can use on your cheek bones and above your eyes...even inside the corners of your eyes. They are really good.
