I was offered Thames shmidt and sabathia for Dye and benson ..
although i really dont want to get rid of dye now batting clse to .320 ant now has 23 HR ..
so i fugure im getting a deal for benson and those pitchers but i feel thames isnt for real .. i think he'll really slow down ..

don't do it! dye has more value than thames, schmidt and sabathia put together. sabathia for benson straight up would be doable, but don't let dye go without getting a big name hitter in return. straight up, i'd trade dye if offered: beltran, berkman, guerrero or maybe ichiro. otherwise, keep him.

as far as bay, if he goes for it, then good on you. although bay is probably worth more than dye, so i doubt you'd get that deal straight up right now.

Bay is a superior player to Dye. You are already getting the better part of the deal, don't get too greedy or the guy will back out.

Asking for Bay is asking for way too much.
