This is a good question, some ppl was just raised to stay within their own race so they sometimes have a problem with ppl dating out of their race, even though it's probably none of their business. Personally I think if you like somebody of a different race then just go for it. Don't let other ppls feelings get in the way of you finding someone special.

Them days are almost gone, I see mixed couples all the time. I only know two couples that have lasted out of about eight. I personally would not date out of my race, just for one reason, if I had a kid they more than likely would be picked on and kids are mean enough right by themselves. That is the way I look at it. It would hurt me very badly to find out that my son was being picked on in school because of the decision me and his mother made. Yes, I know we could dress him funny and stuff but that he can change when he gets older. OK it sounds a little racist but I assure I am not. I hope I helped.

I don't have a problem with it at all I have mixed cousins. However I don't like the way some of the couples look at me a black woman. Sometimes they carry around that person like they are a trophy or something. Also some people don't like people of their own race, which I think is ridiculous because that is where they came from.

Most of the older generations were raised to believe that it is wrong, and they've taught their kids that, and now, well I think you get my point. Sadly, I don't think there will ever be a time when it's 100% okay with EVERYONE. But I'm okay with it. I just happen to be in love with someone of a different race. What matters to me is not what's on the outside, but what's in the heart.

I don't think dating outside your race is bad. If you find someone who you are in love with and they love you ~~ What is the problem. True love is hard enough to find-- much less factoring in race. The only thing I object to is dating someone who has lower morals and values than you do. Do not lower yourself to anyone's standards. That is far worse that dating outside your race.

Because back in our parents & their parents dating years they were taught it was wrong to date outside your race & now they still stand by it. SO they try to brainwash our generations with the same BS they were brainwashed into believing 60 years ago... Its all petty BS!

I think part of it is a feeling of racial superiority, part of it is just that the other person looks/acts different, and part of it is a concern that the partners' cultures/traditions might get mixed and possibly "diluted", especially in their kids.
