I missed the news, why is Korea wanting to blow up the United States?

My question is WHY DOES EVERYONE THAT HAS A PROBLEM come to the United States asking for help, we give them what they want, then they go back to bad mouthing us? The North Koreans are one of many nations that hate the US for whatever petty reason. BUT rest assured if thier rights are violated, or they have a disaster, or they need protection, food, or medicine they will be our friends. North Korea has an insane, evil dictator in charge (just like the various Middle East countries, and Cuba, and parts of Africa, etc) who just wants to start some crap, and the US is ALWAYS in the center of the bullseye. While they are calling us the RICHEST country in the world, I wish they would actually look at us as a people. The majority of us are blue collar workers (just like every where else) just trying to feed our 2.3 children, make our rent, car payments, and electric bills. I have a hard time doing that, and it gets MUCH harder every time something happens somewhere, and my little $40,000 a year has to support someone (another country) else. I don't mind helping out- but come on. We didn't do anything to North Korea- they just want to threaten us because we are Americans. We went through our revolution, and got it settled. We have a bunch of our own problems to solve. We do have a lot of rich people here, but 80%+ are just regular folks trying to make a living. (10% are rich beyond comprehension, and 10% are living in boxes under a bridge) The United Nations will sort it out. What I really loved was the News people!! They were bashing the president (they would be bashing the president no matter who is in office so I'm not going to say Bush) for the WAR- and if we don't help the Middle East blue collar people get rebuilt, and get thier lives under control so THEY can catch thier terrorists there will be no end. They were bashing him for the WAR, and then 2 seconds later they were asking him what he was going to do to react to North Korea!! Whatever! Where the HECK is the UN? Why is it always the US?

Realistically, North Korea wants to blow up the USA because they are tired of Americans constantly sticking their noses in other peoples' business. The USA is viewed internationally as somewhat of a bully. Eventually, a bully gets put in his place and, I'm sure, so will America.

I could never be an American - I'm not ignorant or arrogant enough to qualify.

(Incidentally, it should be "why DOES Korea want to blow up the United States, not what you have! Just trying to be helpful!) Well we are kind of arrogant, and ethnocentric. Anyway, they probably don't, but the White House says they are to get the spotlight off of them for a change! "Wag the Dog", anyone?

No news. And it's not Korea that wants to blow up the U.S. South Korea is at peace. It's just the crazyman who runs North Korea who is spouting off. I'm not sure if I would take him seriously, but you have to wonder.

The country's infastructure is falling apart, people are starving, the communist way of government is failing. Their great and fearless leader, instead of finding ways to make life better for his people, chooses to make himself look important and relevant in the world by showing off his muscle, such as it is. I don't think we in the US have much to worry about, but I wouldn't want to live in Japan, South Korea, or any country close to North Korea.

NK is a rather primitive place.. they hate just about every country

They believe that we will invade them just like we did Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.

The problem is that NK believes it is the most advanced country in the world (they think they have the best technology, etc.) They are so backward that they changed their calendar system; they now believe that the day the world started was when Kim Jong's father was born (1940s).

I wish NK would launch a missile at us just so we could nuke them and get it over with.

The Korean War of the '50s never officially ended and the N Koreans are very paranoid about their soveriegnty. Their leaders use the threat of invasion by the USA as a tool to keep their people in bondage.

They are trying to establish some respect and legitamacy through the use of threats of destruction and power. We are the biggest boys on the block thus we are the target. In addition they are a communist society which I dont know if you remember or not we conducted a fourty year mutually reassured destruction type of offensive.

According to this one nimrod who posted a question a few days ago, it's because of Bush supporters and our invasion of Iraq. This probably won't help you understand, but it illustrates how twisted some peoples minds are. The leader of NK may be similarly twisted, perhaps.

we can tell u missed the news..thats not what happened. a bunch of countries told north korea not to fire test missiles, and they still did, so if people keep telling them not to, they say there will be more. so yah
