I need help. I want to take a handheld games console with me on holiday, but I don't know which one to buy (I'm really bored of my Gameboy Advance, so I need a new one)!

I can't be bothered to waste my money on a PS3. The games will be very expensive (appx. £70 each)! Therefore I will be getting a Nintendo Wii, instead, but I'd like a handheld, too!

i think if you like the playstaions then the psp is just a mini version off that, so basically buying games that you could buy for the ps2. At the start i didn't think that there was many games for the DS but now days how many adverts do you see for the ds games( thousands) i think that the ds add a little extra by the touch screen in many games you get to do so many unige things that will just make you laugh....i have got to addmit that the grapics on some games on the Ds the Graphics and kinda crummy but some are okay the psp have really good graphics but some games are really wierd to play...so the choice is yours go in a big shop that sell elctronics and games and they will probally have the psp and ds on display to play!! the Ds Lite looks amazing!!

Get a DS because you wanted to portable handheld games console. Not a PSP because it's mediocre at all it does. 4GB (movie space), ipod video 60GB. No contest.

DS games cost far less and last longer, not only due to battery life, but game play content. There are gamers, and then there are holywood gamers

PSP screen is nice wide big and clear, I'll give you that but also that's one of it's weaknesses, it will scratch easily and suffer from shining on the screen.

PSP games take forever to load, which kills the battery even further.

Graphical intensive games drain the PSP more, so choose your games wisely.

Or, just by a DS which was actually meant for portable gaming and doesn't try to please everyone.

I have a PSP and my sister has a Nintendo DS LITE, i think the PSP is far superior, the screen is bigger and of a better contrast, the games are also better for the PSP, the DS LITE is cheaper and has the 2 screens, both have wireless and other things, but i would go for SONY every time

If you want a handheld for gaming go for the DS, if you want a handheld for some gaming + music + pictures + videos + web surfing go for the PSP

We had a PSP. It was nice. The men in my house could play games. I could watch movies. My biggest complaint was the audio was really hard to hear. I recommend you get the little "surround system" you can plug it into.

As for the Sony Play Station 3... The system price is outright insane sounding. I read in the last copy of Game Informer there looking at like $500-600.

Neither, save your money for the ps3 ... handhelds suck.

Ive heard PS3 games will be under £50, and after a few months and some competition prices should end up around ps2 level.

PSP is better but also on the expensive side it's worth it though and has better features DS has cool games but that the two screens and the stick are about it for that
