I almost asked this question myself. I have no cheek bone definition in my face, so I decided to try something besides just blush. I bought a skin highlighter recently for $12. I put on my blush, then I dab a line of this highlighter where I think my cheekbones start, near the top. It really does create the illusion that you have cheekbones. I totally don't remember what brand the highlighter is, but just look for shimmery powder highlighter somewhere. If you can't find this, you can also just buy a light cream colored eye shadow and dab that on. It works just as well. Good luck.

smile and put blush on the 'appples' (the part that is rounded and sticks out)
otherwise suck your cheeks in and put it on the place that sticks out then,blend into hairline
