As of right now the Red Sox, Tigers, and Athletics lead their divisions. The Wild Card spot belongs to the White Sox. In the East the Sox lead the Yankees by 3 and the Jays by 6. In the Central no team has a chance to catch Chicago and Detroit. And the West is w-i-d-e open with Texas back 1 game, Seattle behind by 3 1/2 and the Angels back 4. So, that one may be hard to decide. As for the wild card, Chicago has that all but wrapped up with a six game lead. Also, how do you think the playoffs would pan out. Like Divisional Series and ALCS predictions......Me personally, I think that the matchups would be Chicago vs Oakland and Detroit vs Boston in the first round with Oakland upsetting Chicago and Boston crushing Detroit for the sweep. In the ALCS I'm think Boston beats Oakland 4-3 in one of the greatest American League championships in recent memory.

Ouch! Need you be so harsh on my Tigers? I know that they haven't been in the playoffs since 1987 but we have players with playoff experience. Plus, Leyland is a master when it comes to the post-season.

My prediction....(non-biased)

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Wild Card: 1Detroit over 4Chicago in 7 (THIS will be my upset)
2 Boston over 3 Oakland in 6

Championship series:
2 Boston over 1 Detroit in 5

American League Champ: Boston Red Sox

Easy question.

AL East - Yankees
AL Central - Tigers
AL West - Oakland - only because of their pitching.

Wild Card - Chicago

I guess this means Tigers -vs- Oakland and Chicago -vs- Yankees right for the first round. Wild cards can't play inter-division right?

If so I see the Tigers killing Oakland, and Chicago beating the Yanks. Then I see Chicago beating the Tigers for a return trip to the WS.

I agree with part of your question.

Only The White Sox put a solid whooping on the A's

and The Tigers squeak past Boston...

Detroit & Chicago go 7 games...should be interesting.

The wild card is popping out of the AL EAST. the way the Tigers are taking section in curiously like they are extra interested in golfing on the instant. i'd say Cleveland is taking the numerous and that i'll make certain the Angels falling off. they choose Scot Shields to be their eighth inning guy to carry of the Mariners and he has struggled in the second one 0.5. Seattle has a extra acceptable bullpen and extra offense. seem ahead to the Yankees to take yet another 3 out of four from Detroit and four or 5 out of the 6 ultimate video games with Boston. No race is over fairly yet.

Yankees, Tigers, White Sox, A's

I think Boston will fade. Angel's have only one pitcher. Blues Jay's don't have the lineup.
