Fishin' For a Great Class"
I covered the B.Board to look like a pond. Used brown paper to make a dock. Reproduced a child sitting and fishing. I had each child's name on a fish. As an extra , I would take a picture of each child and put it on the fish. When I was finished with the bulletin board for the month, I would save the pictures and use them at the end of the year for a look how I've grown BBoard.

For "decorating" or for actually making the bulletin board?
To make a bulletin board you can by 12"x12" squares of 1" cork. Glue these to wall, pasteboard, 1/4" plywood.
Staples also sells rolls of the thinner cork which can be glued onto the same things.

I am a Kindergarten teacher to. I have tons of ideas. My most favorite one is the Good Conduct board.
I have a blue background and a piece of yarn coming do from the top like a fishing line. then I have a hook at the end. All of students names will be on fishes. All the fishes will start far away for the fishing line and as the missbehave, I will move their fish closer to the line. The title will be "Fishing for Good Conduct"

This is a silly idea, but back-to-school is generally symbolized by new clothes, and school supplies. Perhaps you could build a motif off of that, for example a childs sized t-shirt and perhaps a pair of shorts, with card board inside for rigidity. Color wouldn't matter, because you would be pinning things onto it I assume.
How does that sound?

You can do a bee hive with bees (you can get at any school supply store) then just get the star stickers put each kids name on one hang them up and however many stars (7 or 10) they earn 1 star at the end of day if they are good when the kid reaches the 7 or 10 stars they get to pick a prize from a "treasure chest" I just put little treats in the treasure chest i.e. pencils, sheets of stickers erasers stuff like that the boys like toy bugs and stuff. girls like the fake rings and stuff like that (I just go to the dollar store to pick up the stuff) Then for other holidays like st. Patty's day you do 4 leaf clovers, valentines you do hearts, Christmas you do trees, I hope this idea helps good luck :)

How about a starry night! Lots of stars and a moon and planets and a space shuttle, in light of their current flight.
