No. They are beneficial hunting spiders. The fact that they are there is a good sign. They are keeping the bad insects off of your plants. Let nature take it's course and don't use pesticides. If the daddy long legs eat up all of the other insects, they will go away in search of other food.

Daddy Long Legs have been around for years and years. They don't hurt anything or anyone. Their mouth is to small to bite a human being. They are very good at getting other spiders and insects. Don't worry about your plants. It there are webs on your plants, it is a good way to stop the bug population. When I was a child, I remember letting them walk all of my hands and arms.
They are very deadly spiders to other insects and to other spiders but nothing else. Thank you for your question.

Actually, these spiders are good for your plants as they either spend webs or hang around on the ground to catch the bad insects who will damage your lovely plants.
Just think of them as your plant's security guards.

No! Daddy long legs or (crane fly) will do no harm at all.
It's the larvae that they come from (leatherjackets) that do the harm to plants in gardens.

No, they won't. Hey fiddlesticks9... They're not insects. They're spiders (arachnids). Insects all have six legs, spiders all have 8 legs.
