An iPod video has an actual hard drive in it. The videos use a lot of battery, I think that the regular TV episode of thirty minutes uses like, a fourth at least of battery. It also has games; Brick, a music quiz, solitaire, and parachute. Brick is with the ball and the slidey thing and you try to knock down the bricks on top by moving the slidey thing so the ball doesn't fall. The music quiz is where you have a limited amount of time to guess what song the snippet is. Solitaire is obvious. Parachute is where people are jumping from helicoptors with parachutes and you have to shoot them. An iPod video can hold either 15000 songs, or 7500 songs. Also has 150 hours of video, and it can hold 25000 photos. All you need is a computer for an iPod. If you don't already have iTunes, you'll need to set it up. It's not that hard, just follow the simple on-screen instructions. If you have any other questions, just go to apple.com, click on iPod+iTunes, and click on iPod.

You don't HAVE to have an IHome.
Basically, what comes with it is a the iTunes cd that installs on your computer & a USB cord that you hook to your ipod & into the computer. The cord will both charge your iPod & upload songs onto it once you get iTunes set up.
The iHome crap & everything else you can buy separate. But it's like 200 dollars.

Most important is to get the case to protect from scratches.. Goto Apple.com to check out other accessories or go to an apple store in your area

It comes with device itself. For cases and external charger or other accessories, you will have to buy seperately.
