*cries* yes! But I'm not going to let it go down without a fight! Nowadays, opera is pretty much only listened to by a relatively small group of people and they are dying off faster than they can be replaced.
I don't know what is taking its place...I think that there is just a hole where it should be without anything to fill it with.

Oh, and Andrea Bocelli isn't real opera no matter how much he tells himself so.

Here in NW Arkansas we have Opera in the Ozarks... It is a school for training in opera... It is on a mountain called Inspiration Point near Eureka Springs (a beautiful setting)... We usually go there to see one of the operas each summer (they 4 or 5)... Tonight we are going to see The Barber of Seville at the Walton Art Center in Fayetteville that is put on by the school... So, here in NW Arkansas, opera has definately not been forgotten...

yes i think that it is alot of wonderful arts are being forgotten, for something more instant, i think what is replacing it is rap music
