how many of you have told a joke...and been branded ..ignorant/arrogant/racist...has no one ever told a pat,mick and the irishman...or the one about what u call a black guy in a leather jacket?? come on..there only jokes...theres to much paranoia and people are to quick to judge these days...coz theve got there human rights mixed up with fun and normal living,,,are they trying to be just to good?? for crying out loud when will it stop...untill you are no longer allowed to speak....has no one ever called the corner shop..the pakies...or the take away shop..the chinkys...this aint racist...its just our culture as we speak...and people should respect this...i dont get offended by being called a scott...??

Too bloody right mate (and I'm not an Aussie - or is THAT racist too...?) There's far too much of this nonsense going on all the time nowadays. Everything has to be so bloody PC that you daren't fart without some pratt taking offense. If it weren't for all the do-gooders telling us what to do - or better still what we SHOULDN'T do according to them, parents would be able to keep control over their ill-mannered brats and coppers could give kids a cuff round the ear when necessary and the world would be far less crime ridden - and to think, it probably all started with somebody complaining about a joke, and no, I couldn't care less if somebody calls me an old poof!!!

its thachter's fault !!she introduced the prevention of pleasure act1980....nearly every joke is at the expense of someone or some thing. so if you take away all the jokes that might be deemed to offend someone or thing then you have taken away all homour . so you end up with every one fighting each other over anything and everything cos no one can laugh any more without being branded as an' ist'

I think perhaps you should learn the origins of some of those so called "nicknames" before you say they aren't offensive, many of them were formed specifically to be offensive. As Scot is just a short form just like I'm a Brit. Please do some research not only are they offensive they are inappropriate at any time.
