This is rather annoying. It also happens to me from time to time, but not at the frequency it happens to my friend. He'll get disconnected from Messenger while we are chatting and sometimes can't get logged back in for hours. I'm sure we're not the only ones with this problem. How do you remedy it?

I have that very same problem! My buddy don't come through for up to 8 min., then I get like a dozen messages at a time from him! And then all too often lately, Yahoo will sign me off & say that I'm signing in on another computer????
We get very frustrated when it starts "freezing "on us.

I downloaded Trillian. You can run YIM on it and I haven't been experiencing any problems at all.
