You can use any brand as long as the part numbers are the same.

Well its like this my friend. First of all you cant use any brand of ink in a printer not belonging to it. For example you cant use a HP cartridge in a Canon printer.Second of all think of your budget because the cartridges cost a bombshell (The bigger the printer the costlier the cartridge). So if your budget allows you buy the branded cartridge if not there are a whole lotta duplicates you can find anywhere or better yet you can get it refilled. BUT BEWARE once you use a fake cartridge or refill your cartridge all you guarantte's and warrante's are going to be void.

There are hundreds of different inks, different shapes etc which will not necessarily fit your printer. Take the name of the printer, i.e., Canon and the number of the Ink cartridge, ie., BC2 etc. It is possible to refill some but it is not easy. It is also possible to buy compatible ink which can be quite good and half the price.......

You can use the same cartridges and just get refills if that is an option. Check out inkjets4less.com . Yes you can use other brands, storebrands are alot cheaper and sometimes just as good, but make sure the #'s are correcxt
