If it's only a few files, you could attach them to an e-mail, send it to yourself, and open it on your other computer. Otherwise, you could use a data transfering device, like a floppy disk, CD, or memory stick. If you have a lot of files to transfer and both computers have a USB drive to put it into, a memory stick is probably your best bet, though ones with a lot of memory can be pricy.

If they're both net capable, use a file transfer, ex. between 2 yahoo accounts and transfer the file, if they're networked TOGETHER, than pull up a shared folder between the two, and deposit the file there, then use the other comp to take it out onto that hard drive.

How many files. Best way is through flash drives, but you can also do it through your home network or through a CD-R/RW, as well as put info on 1 external HD and rehook it up to the other computer.

Get a hotmail/MSN account. You can send high volume files through MSN but not AIM.

Email it to yourself if it's a smaller file. I do this all the time for excel and word files.

Network them, set the folder as a shared folder, then just transfer files between folders (having found the folder in the network)

If they are small files - e-mail them to yourself. For larger files (1 G or less) try www.yousendit.com to e-mail them to yourself. For even bigger stuff you could try copying them to a data DVD (4.35G)or a flash drive.
