I put on a front so that people will think I am a fighter and back down, but truthfully, I am just a coward who doesn't want my butt kicked.

To live without regret, one must be a fighter. To learn that cowardice leads to regret, one must be a coward. All and all, if you fight and are beaten, physically, mentally, emotionally. You will still learn, heal and grow stronger in time. So, there is usually no point in being a coward. But, it doesn't mean you can't pick your battles wisely. So, once a coward, now a fighter.

being a fighter doesnt necasarily mean you have to fight, in some cases if you dont back down, you'll realise the other person is a coward, because they were just testing you, and they werent going to do anything in the first place...

if you grow-up as a fighter, you will endure times of your life where you are a coward, and must face it all. I am a fighter.

Just because one fights, does not make him/her any stronger or more macho/femine to the next, if one is a coward as you coined it for this question, maybe he/she is the smart one walknig away saving face while the other looks like a fool. So what does it matter, if only to self inflate their ego.

Sometimes it takes a lot of courage being a coward. Not acting is as hard or even harder sometimes then acting.

Fighter. If someone confronts me physically or verbally, I will always make them think twice about doing it again. However, it is my policy not to respond physically to a verbal or written threat. I always echo the aggressor.

Fighter, but I do know when to back down...like when I only have my fists and the other guy has a gun.
