The best thing I did for my Mother, who passed away, is to love her.
I also took her out every Mother's Day to the best restaurant in New York City. This was a very special treat because the food was always delicious, service excellent, and elegant atmosphere. It was very luxurious and she loved it.
Also, when my mother was dying, I got on the first plane to be there with her and she was so happy to see me - her eyes lit up.

Just be there for her. I was always the rock for her to lean on, when life got rough. (Such as my sister becoming abusive, or a friend passing away). Even after I moved out, I am still there for her. I was there for her the entire time, as her best friend battled against cancer (and eventually lost).

Mother's day : a card, a nice bottle of her favorite chocolates, a nice bottle of her favorite wine, and a nice dinner out just for her to her favorite resturant.
Mom's are special.
