If there is one it would be relatively small since Seattles coast is to the Puget Sound and wouldnt have that much room to build up a big enough wave to really impact hard.

While it is somewhat possible that a small tsunami could strike the Puget Sound due to the Seattle Fault that runs through it (as has happened in the distant past), it is unlikely. Because Seattle is not located on the coast, tsunamis generated in the Pacific would primarily effect just the coastline of the State (where tsunami warning systems are in place) and not hit the Seattle area.

I recently watched the Discovery Channel special on research done after the Indian Ocean tsunami. According to their data, an earthquake capable of triggering a tsunami off the West Coast would leave Seattle in ruins. Apparently any waves that reach into Puget Sound will be of secondary concern! In any case, Seattle is a stunningly beautiful city. I hope you enjoy it!

What freddyg doesn't realize is that "the big one" could trigger a tsunami. There have been stories on the discovery channel about the posibility of a major disastor involving a volcanic eruption/earthquake/tsunami. We also learn about this possibility in our geology classes here.
