Well for $20? The city bus will cost $2.25 each adult, you can figure out how to do that on www.translink.bc.ca your starting point is AIRPORT - YVR, GRANT MCCONACHIE WAY, RICHMOND and your end point is Canada Place. it will take about an hour. I don't suggest you do this.

Apparently a cab will cost about $28 CDN according to the port of vancouver.

Bus: The shuttle bus (called The Airporter) is $12 one way or $18 round-trip. It goes to all the major downtown Vancouver hotels, the cruise ship terminal and the inter-city bus depot. It's a comfortable bus that leaves every 15 minutes (06:30 to 00:10 hours) from the airport's two Arrivals levels. You can buy a ticket on the bus. For the Airporter, phone (Vancouver area): 604.946.8866 or 1.800.668.3141 (outside the Vancouver area.)

Limo: Limojet Gold Express has the exclusive limousine concession from the airport and operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Limos are located outside the arrival areas. Each holds about seven or eight passengers and they charge a flat rate to all destinations. The rate to downtown is $39 (plus taxes.) Call 604.273.1331.

Personally I would do the shuttle. oops I just realized I answered your question backwards by switching your destination and departures places, but the info is the same.

Did your cruise ticket not include dock airport transfers? They usually are part of the cruise cost.
