well try giving ideas like:
just calmly explain that she wants to be her friends i mean its HER big day right!
but when yelling gets involved she has lost the fight.
or
just take care of the kid and when he is playing or napping or something hang with her friends i bet her friends will help her out if she asks nicely!
and plz tell her her mom still <3's her she just needs her to do it.
your parents still care about you and love you no matter what!!!

Well if she has to watch her younger brother, throw a party at your house and bring her brother. You can also talk to her mom and see what she says. If her mom goes out sometime you can always go over there and help her clean, help her get on her moms good side.

why dont you ask her mom if you can throw her a birthday party, if her birthday is on a thursday , ask her if you can have the party for her on friday so it will not infere with her party that she is throwing your friend, t hat will make your friends mom feel stupid becasue she isnt going to throw your friend a party that she might feel like she has to throw her one, so in a way you are helping your friend out by making her mom throw her party. if you have to just throw your friend the party and even if it is a lil thing she will like it . good luck.

Do a reality test first. Talk to your friends mom first to really find out the truth from her mouth first.
If your suspect that her mom is really as evil as she is portrayed, then get a bunch of friends together and have the BEST party for your friend at your place.

Sometimes parents can't do everything they want to do for their children. Not only for monetary reasons, but because they are restricted in different ways.
If you want to help her out, get some money and get an ice cream cake. Bring her friends over and enjoy.
Cheap and easy.

Don't interfere in the mother/daughter relationship. Stop by her house with a little cake and a card and a little token gift if you can afford it. It is up to her to deal with her mother....not you!

Take her someplace on her birthday, and enjoy your company together. Whether it be a movie, dinner, or as her friend, whatever you think she'd enjoy.
