I am Italian. I love the Brazilian team and do not care for the Fr4ench but this is not true.
Roberto Carlos simply said: "I want to open space for new blood. I hope I can give this number six jersey to someone who might carry on this victorious history.
As far as Ronaldinho for your information he was never a forward. He played right behind the forward or forwards as an attacking midfielder. For this reason in fact Parreira was criticized starting France game with one forward Ronaldo then making it two with Adriano then three with Robinho.
So I had my doubts about the 1998 game, but honestly Brazil just did not play man. Get over it.
And if you are Brazilian and saying that your country got paid well thats plain embarrassing - why would you say that?

Aw, C'mon. France has beaten three hitherto unbeaten teams now, including Brazil, Spain and Portugal. They're about to win the World Cup. Brazil simply wasn't up to the pressure of world cup competition this year.
