Depends. If you are into fashion, then no. It's about a "powerfreak" that has a vast knowledge of fashion, and a girl that wants the job for the wrong reasons...and has to make choices in her life as to what she wants. There's more to it than fashion, but for the most part, it's definitely more fun if you love to see how fashion works..male or female.
If you equate fashion to girlie, then yes..it is a chic flick.
