Taking advantage, are you serious? Think about it: Why not just go to the store and get some alcohol to drink at home? Is it not the same as going to a bar? Of course not! So what is the difference? Make a list of the differences, then you will know what you are paying for in addition to the alcohol you drink. If the extra money you pay is not worth it for the things on your list, then stay home and drink on your couch. Pretty simple, right? Advantage can only be taken when one party has NO CHOICE to the transaction. Even if you are an alcoholic, you have a choice to buy alcohol in a bar.

it's a business and they are cleanin up. Your the sucka who pays those crazy prices. Stay home rent a flick maybe throw a party cost ya alot less let me break it down for ya 1 three bags of chips probably 3.50 max 2 booze 3 bottles maybe a case 50.00 3 soda juice that kind of stuff 4 bucks. Pizza take out 3 pies around here is like 15 bucks. So you tell me 72.00 without tax and you get to entertain alot of people. or average 3.00 a beer and 4.50 a mixed drink average person with food included is around 86.00 that also includes the drinks you buy for the ladies.

You just answered your own question. To take advantage of people's vices. They know when people go out, they are going to drink at whatever cost.

Because people will pay for it. Because it's a low investment with a high profit rate. For example, tap beer..like bud light, equates to 10 cents a pint, yet is charged for 2.50-5.00 a pint. Pretty good profit rate, eh?
