Yes the lad above ( robertcorbett) is correct.
John Wark was not the only Ipswich player to appear in the film, as the lad said the other players played in the Germany side and played the part of prison guards.
I'm sure that the Young lad who has his arm broken deliberately so Sly Stallone could play in goal was also on Ipswich's books

Actually quite a few, John wark was the most famous and had speaking parts, but other Ipswich Players went out to filming and became German players and Prison camp guards.

Yes it was John Wark. He had a massive handlebar moustach in escape to victory. It was a football film against the Germans.
