Mackinac Island, which in itself is an entire city. There are no cars there (they use horses and bikes instead), the island is a 7-mile circumfrence of a small town, large houses, beautiful scenery, and in the center is a fort that was used during the War of 1812.
Mackinac Island is definetely my number 1 pick, and I can't think of anywhere else to follow.
