I'm trying to build a website in yahoo's website builder, but it keeps freezing up on me...does anyone know

It's hard to say. Usually template sites are generically coded. Most do not validate and should not be used in commercial applications because of their limitations and poor performance.

That being said, I suspect the lock-up is caused by a software conflict or possibly not enough memory in your computer. Poorly written JavaScript is often the cause of browser lock-up.
