Unless you are lucky enough to happen upon a business that is willing to bring on a young person, as yourself, or you show them something that will push you to the front of the line, I highly doubt you will find something that pays well with your ideals and being 16yo. An internship will allow you to get your foot in the door at a reputable business, you may choose to go that route.

You could try these websites:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/EducationAndLearning/ChoicesAt14To19/fs/en

http://www.connexions.gov.uk/

This one gives really useful descriptions of jobs - typical tasks the jobs involve, working environment, physical & mental aptitudes needed: http://jobseekers.direct.gov.uk/ (search the careers section). Wish I had something like this when I was 16 ... come to think of it the www didn't exist when I was 16!

From personal experience, if you really don't know what you want to do, try and get a variety of real-world work experiences even if it's voluntary during vacations/gap year. Only through work-experiance can you really get the feel for a job and a better understanding of what you like doing or are able to do.
Follow your heart , not what others tell you, but don't ignore the salaries of jobs either. Don't just drift in to a career.

Just because you enjoy a subject at GCSE, you might find it a lot harder at A-level (like physics in my case) or not like the careers which use it. Don't ignore the fact that some A-level subjects are easier than others and if you are intending to go to University they often don't care which subjects you have good grades in, just that you have the grades(at least they didn't used to).

Go for the internet business which require less of your time and the one that will not make you feel headache with web designing or which require IT knowledge. Second, choose the internet based company which offer you the opportunity and at the same time giving you the convenience to start the business where all the things are automated. Third, choose the business which does not require big money to start it. Think again, when you are earning money from the internet, you have the chance to get rid from an income tax.

At this stage I think you should go for A-level subjects that interest you, rather than worrying too much about your future career. The vast majority of people I studied with at sixth form and University went into jobs that were totally unrelated to their A-levels or degree.

How about Law or Politics along side the science subjects you enjoy? Both could give you some valuable skills and are interesting subjects.

If you do want to discuss future plans though how about your school careers advisor or connexions office.

Good luck honey

It will be hard to find bot a job that pays well and that will make a real difference to society. I am a network administrator and I like the field that I am in and it pays extremely well. Its a job that you can do from any location on the planet basically. I also do volunteer work for charities (habitat for humanity, abuse shelters, etc). So I would suggest you find a job that pays well and get involved with your community. Perhaps you can do computer work for one of those organization. Another thing you can look into is research (my mother is a research scientist). And that pays well and makes a real impact on society.

Just a little advice for you.
To get a good job in whatever field you choose, always check your application form for correct spelling and grammar.
Taking care about this will create a good impression for a prospective employer.
Why am I offering you this advice?
Because you made several errors in your question, and if you can't be bothered to get things like that right, then you probably will be the same with an application form.
Details count, you only get one chance to make a first impression.

Have you thought and/or considered volunteering. I believe this makes a great impact on your CV and to future employers. Young ambitious people dont just require qualifications in this demanding world but also personal development skills and experience. As youre only 16, you could try a call centre or data entry job. Gain this basic experience and you can move on up! Good Luck!

Graduate prospects is good..... search under 'Jobs and work' ...this gives you a case study and description (e.g. salary work conditions etc). Included in the site is prospects planner which tells u the jobs you are most suited to you. It is geared towards jobs in the U.K. It also gives you an idea of university courses and studentships too. It gives you an idea of also what type of employment suits you best....u may hate working for someone and want to be your own boss!

Look at flipping burgers at McDs and work up from there. For sport cycle to work. For aerobic exercise help your ma with the laundry starting by ironing your own shirts.
