The Schwob School of Music in Columbus has a great opera-theatre program. They perform at The River Center each year. Also, UGA in Athens has a great school of music that regularly performs italian opera. Atlanta's Philharmonic also brings in groups to perform, so check the newspaper or the web pages of the various concert halls/theatres in Atlanta.
