Yes!!Over the counter you can use Mederma during the day rubbing it in cross-friction(against the direction of the scar) at least 3 times a day then at night use a silicone sheet pad, they are now out in most drugstores, It is what we use on burn scars to flatten and fade them. If you can't get it flatter this way you can also ask your Dr. for an Occupational Therapy referral to a Hand specialist and they can use ultrasound and Iontophoresis with saline to loosen the scar tissue along with a specialized technique called ASTYM, you can also consult a plastic surgeon.

Aloe is only good when you apply it directly to the skin.

Vit E also work well for fresh scar.

For old scar (more than 3months old), try Centica 10g from a pharmacy. Much cheaper than other branded scar remover, it cost only about US$2 only per tube of 10g.

Definitely get Mederma for scar cream. It may be a lilttle expensive but it is so worth it!

Vitamin E works extremely good and fast. Just get some vitamin E gel pills, break one open, and rub it over the scared area. hope I could help, Jabo F

depending upon the size and age of the scar rubbing liquid vitamin E into it every day will reduce it

I used tea tree oil (pure, undiluted) on my spider bite scar. I almost cried after the first day ... it was so much better I got emotional :) lol ... no kidding.

maderma is the only topical ointment on the market and is supposed to make it less visible. You can get it at a drugstore.
