Nursing pays really well. I'm working in eastern NC (start on Monday) as a new grad with zero experience, making $19 an hour base pay plus night and weekend differential with all benefits and a retirement package. Just about anything medical (paramedic, pharmacy tech, sonography, dental hygienist) pays really well. Check at your local community college for programs.
